Stange said the match came down to the No. 2 doubles match. Riddle and d’Almeida lost the first set and were down 0-4 in the second before rallying to win 13 of the next 15 games.

It was the third straight match the pair earned the clinching point for the Wolves. Stange said, “Often times,

players will lose focus when down 0-4 in a set. This pair of freshmen have shown that they are up to handling the pressure of a hotly contested tennis match.”

Jordan Akins fell in No. 1 singles 6-7, 4-6; Lily Doyle dropped the No. 2 singles match 3-6, 2-6; and Rachael Parker lost in No. 4 singles 0-6, 1-6.
