Swimmers swamp Everett, remain undefeated

The Oak Harbor High School swim team remained undefeated and in first place in the Western Conference North standings by swamping Everett 152-33 Wednesday at John Vanderzicht Pool.

The Wildcats’ endurance will be tested next week when they travel to Bellingham Tuesday for a nonleague meet, then face Cascade here the next day in the final conference clash. A win over Cascade (2-4 in league, 4-6 overall) would wrap up the Wesco North dual-meet title for Oak Harbor.

The Wildcats are now 6-0 in Wesco and 10-0-1 overall.

The ‘Cats exerted their dominance over the Seagulls by winning the top three spots in eight of the 12 events, and taking the top two in the other four.
