The Spartans eked out a 26-24 victory in the opening set. Oak Harbor bounced back to take game two 25-13, but Stanwood recovered to win the final two sets 25-17 and 25-21.

The Wildcats’ Kayleigh Harper recorded a match-high 24 kills and five aces to pace Oak Harbor.

Amelia Berner collected 10 kills and seven digs, Natalie McVey had 20 assists and seven digs, Hailey Beecher posted 21 assists and Deanna Ruben had 10 digs.

Asia Borseth led Stanwood (2-1) with eight kills, 17 digs and four aces.

Oak Harbor (0-3) is off until Monday, Sept. 23, when it goes to Arlington (1-0) for a 7 p.m. match.
