2019 record: Fifth in Wesco North, 10th in district.

Returning letter winners: juniors Evelyn Osburn, Kayle Pearcy, Morgan Pease, Courtney VanGiesen; sophomores Sadie Harbaugh, Tiana Jackson, Paige Jenkins, Grace Waite.

Key newcomers: junior Cassie Stady; sophomores Chloe Frank, Lacey Zylstra; freshmen Paige Fortin, Tessa Hughes, Adrienne Root.

Strengths: Number of newcomers and freshmen.

Weaknesses: No seniors.

Coach’s comment: “It should make for a fun year (watching the many newcomers) learn how to compete at the high school level.

“From across the different events, I would expect Oak Harbor to finish in the top half of the league this year.”

First competition: Island Jamboree (Oak Harbor), 3:30 p.m. Thursday, March 19.

First meet: Archbishop Murphy, 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 2.
