Oak Harbor Boys Golf

Coach: David Smith.

2019 record: Third in Wesco North, fifth in district.

Returning lettermen: senior Nick Krantz (first-team, all-league; 22nd in state tournament), sophomores Cole Valdez, Aidan Wyer.

Key newcomers: None.

Strengths: One of Wesco’s top golfers (Krantz) and solid top three.

Weakness: Inexperience in second half of lineup.

Coach’s comment: “I would like to see my new to varsity players improve throughout the season and help the team when we get to districts. I would like to try and get the team to state this season, but at a minimum it is a team goal to get two or three kids there this season.

“Looking forward to a great season playing at a great course supported by an even greater membership. Always a pleasure playing and interacting with the staff and membership at Whidbey Golf Club.”
