A four-run third inning helped Shorewood defeat the Oak Harbor High School baseball team 6-2 Saturday, April 8, at Shoreline’s Meridian Park.

The Thunderbirds (5-1, 7-2) took a 1-0 lead into the third inning, then used four hits and a walk to push the advantage to 5-0.

Oak Harbor cut into the lead with two runs in the fourth inning. Hits by Steven Richards, Kamren Mebane and Thomas Anderson and walks to James Besaw and Cory Roberts combined to produce the Wildcat runs.

Roberts and Aaron Martinez also singled in the game for Oak Harbor.

The Wildcats (0-9, 0-11) hope to pick up their first win when they host Stanwood (2-6, 2-8) at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 11.
