Season opener

South Whidbey played Oak Harbor in tennis March 16.

South Whidbey tennis Coach Karyle Kramer said the match against Oak Harbor March 16 was a good opener for the season and the highlight of the day was a comeback by Abby Amundson, who lost one set but then won the next two.

“Abby executed. It was impressive,” Kramer said. “She played all doubles last year so I wasn’t sure how it would be having her at first singles. She worked hard in the off season and it shows.”
