The Whidbey Island Roller Girls will host a fundraising breakfast 8-10 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at Frasers Gourmet Hideaway.

Skaters from the local roller derby team will serve the breakfast, which cost $20 per person.

Diners have a choice of four entrees: Classic Eggs Benedict, Lemon Raspberry Bread Pudding French Toast, Huevos Rancheros or Classic Biscuits and Gravy; all served with fresh fruit, mini muffins, and a choice of coffee or orange juice. Mimosas & Bloody Mary’s will also be available for additional cost.

Tickets may be purchased from Brown Paper Tickets or from any WIRG team member.

Fifty percent of the proceeds will go to the Whidbey Island Roller Girls Scholarship Fund, which provides a scholarship to an Oak Harbor High School senior girl pursuing a career in sports medicine.

The team will compete in a bout at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Oak Harbor Roller Barn.
