Sedro-Woolley, a group of 14-year-olds, pushed across seven first-inning runs on only two hits to go up early.

Oak Harbor, a team of 13- and 14-year olds, scored one in the first and five in the second get within one.

Jordan Davenport tripled in the first and scored on Dylan Bailey’s groundout in the first.

In the second, Dominic Jones walked; Paul Southerland, Kenneth Morrow and Dominic Sotoa Stevens singled; and Davenport doubled to the fence to net the five runs.

Sedro-Woolley went up 14-6 with seven runs over the next two innings with the help of five errors, four walks and three doubles.

Oak Harbor got within two with three runs in each of the fourth and sixth innings.

An RBI single by Bailey and an RBI double by Trent Benson highlighted the fourth.

In the sixth, a hit batter, three walks and Southerland’s single produced three runs.

Coach Bill Young said, “I was very impressed offensively with how we fought back to make a game of it.”

Oak Harbor (1-1) hosts Concrete for an 11 a.m. double header Saturday, May 4.
