Buoyed by a flood of seasonal personal bests, the Oak Harbor High School swim and dive team swept the two Snohomish schools in a double dual meet at the Snohomish Aquatic Center Tuesday, Oct. 14.
The Wildcats posted personal records in 83 percent of their individual swims, according to coach Erin Bull, led by a seven-second drop in the 100 yard freestyle by Baelee Whitinger.
Also registering personal bests for the season were Elise Still, Mollie Briddell, Marissa Morris, Sophie Dickinson, Erica Sugatan, Mariel Empinado, Ella Brooks and Molly Vagt.
Briddell (100 free, 58.31; 100 backstroke, 1:07.79) and Morris (200 free, 2:05.53; 500 free, 5:29.3) won twice for the Wildcats.
Other winners were Vagt (50 free, 26.93), Jillian Pape (100 butterfly, 1:08.08) and Taliah Black (100 breaststroke, 1:14.41).
Briddell, Black, Pape and Vagt captured the 200 medley relay (2:01.51); and Briddell, Morris, Sugatan and Vagt took the 400 free relay (3:51.99).
Oak Harbor (7-1) meets Shorecrest (5-3) at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, at the Shoreline Pool.
