Caley Powers scored two goals and manned the net for 35 minutes in Oak Harbor High School’s 4-2 soccer win over Marysville Getchell at Wildcat Memorial Stadium Tuesday, March 19.

The other Wildcat goals were registered by Chase Muller and Andrew Mitchell.

Oak Harbor coach Brian Thompson said starting keeper Kevin Silveira left after 20 minutes to attend a band concert and then returned for the final 25 minutes, giving way to Powers while absent.

Thompson said, “We started out a little rough in the first half and came out looking much better the second half after working out a few problems in the midfield. The team is very happy with our win and is looking forward to Friday’s game with Everett.”

Oak Harbor (1-0, 1-1) goes to Everett’s (0-1, 0-3-1) Lincoln Field at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 22.
