Penn Cove Brewing Company hosts annual golf tournament


The fourth annual Bennett Boyles Memorial Golf Tournament is set to tee off with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Whidbey Golf Club in Oak Harbor.

The tournament, presented by the Penn Cove Brewing Company, honors Boyles, a Coupeville athlete who courageously battled glioblastoma multiforme cancer. All proceeds will be either donated to the WhidbeyHealth Foundation or fund scholarships for members of Coupeville High School’s class of 2021, Boyles’ graduating class.

Those interested in the tournament can participate in several ways, as a player, sponsor or donor.

The cost is $125 per player. To register, visit

Sponsorship levels include diamond ($1,500 for putting contest), platinum ($750 for long drive holes), gold ($500 for closest to the pin holes) and silver ($350 for basic holes).

Donations can be made in cash or by offering raffle items.
