Winning its sixth straight game, the Oak Harbor Babe Ruth baseball team stopped Anacortes 7-3 at Clover Valley Park Thursday, June 19.

Oak Harbor, which also includes five players from Coupeville, finishes the regular season with an 11 a.m. double header at home Saturday, June 21.

The fourth-seeded Wildcats will open district tournament play against third-seeded Burlington at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, at the Rotary Field in Burlington.

In the win over Anacortes, James Besaw and Andrew Eaton limited the visitors to two earned runs. Eaton entered with two on and two out in the third, gave up a single and then pitched hitless ball the rest of the way.

Hunter Smith, Besaw and Josh Margraff each had two hits for Oak Harbor. Joey Lippo, Eaton, Will Danielson, Thomas Anderson and Jake Pease added singles.
