The Oak Harbor youth football senior division team continued its undefeated season with a 33-8 thumping of Lakewood in the quarterfinals of North Cascade Youth Football League tournament Saturday, Oct. 26, at Fort Nugent Park.

Oak Harbor (9-0) faces Bellingham Red (7-2) in the semifinals at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at Mount Vernon High School.

Oak Harbor won a 33-32 thriller over Bellingham Oct. 19.

In the win over Lakewood, Oak Harbor received scores from Mac Carr, Joe Johnson and Mac Nuanez.

Three first-quarter touchdowns and “great defense,” according to head coach Marcus Carr, set the tone for the day.

“Our defense was led by Thomas Lawless, Andrew Miller, Jayden Robinson and Caleb Johnson to name a few,” Marcus Carr said. “It was a complete team effort as all the boys played hard.”

He added, “The assistant coaches were the key to this victory as they had our boys well prepared on both sides of the ball.”
