Oak Harbor recovers to beat Murphy / Volleyball

Down 10 points in the first game. No problem.

The Oak Harbor High School volleyball team roared back from a 12-2 deficit in the opening set and then raced by visiting Archbishop Murphy 3-0 Tuesday, Sept. 25.

The Wildcats rallied to win the first game 25-23 before knocking off Murphy 25-19, 25-14 to remain one of the four unbeaten Wesco teams.

Oak Harbor, Stanwood and Arlington are all 6-0 in the 15-team league; Snohomish is 5-0.

After going to Mountlake Terrace (0-5, 1-5) at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, Oak Harbor will entertain Stanwood at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4.

The Wildcats travel to Snohomish Tuesday, Oct. 16, and host Arlington two days later.

In the win over Archbishop Murphy, Cami Bristow had 13 kills, Morgan Pease eight, Leielle Salinger seven, Payton Parks four and Leah Quidachay three.

Ceirra Dean and Salinger added three aces each.

Quidachay finished with 26 assists.

On defense, Quidachay recorded eight digs and two blocks.

Dean had seven digs and Bristow and Pease six.
