Oak Harbor opens season with impressive meet | NJROTC

The defending regional champion Oak Harbor High School Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps drill and rifle teams started the 2014 season with a strong showing at the opening divisional meet at Marysville-Pilchuck High School Saturday, Jan. 11.

In the nine team competitions, the Wildcat battalion snared four firsts and three seconds.

Oak Harbor tacked on seven more firsts in the 18 individual competitions, including sweeping the top five spots in strength team ironman.

The next divisional meet, which includes 10 teams representing the Navy, Army, Air Force and Marine Corps, is Saturday, Jan. 25, at Snohomish High School.

Oak Harbor team results:

First: color guard No. 2, unarmed drill team, blue rifle team, physical strength team No. 2.

Second: armed drill team No. 1, gold rifle team, physical strength team No. 1.

Third: armed drill team No. 2.

Sixth: color guard No. 1.

Individual results:
