Oak Harbor falls to Anacortes / Babe Ruth baseball

The Oak Harbor Babe Ruth baseball team scored five runs over the last five innings, but it wasn’t enough as the Wildcats fell 10-6 at Anacortes Tuesday, June 6.

Anacortes scored single runs in the first and second innings and then erupted for seven in the third to build a 9-1 lead.

Oak Harbor collected only four hits in the game, singles by Aidan Golden, Kaito White, Gage McLeod and Ethan Abbott. Shawn Day added two RBI, and John Blankman scored twice and drove in a run.

Chandler Gisvold pitched the final two and one-third innings and allowed no hits and no earned runs.

The two teams play in Oak Harbor at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 8, at Clover Valley Park.
