Breaking into the win column, the Oak Harbor High School tennis team stopped visiting Marysville Getchell 5-2 Friday, Sept. 19, in a match that was rained out earlier in the week.

The win was the Wildcats first in four matches and evened its league mark at 1-1. Getchell fell to 1-1 and 1-5.

Oak Harbor swept all three doubles matches, led by Raymond Paraiso and Jared Alano-Gray’s 6-3, 6-1 win in first doubles.

Max Van Dam and Nathan Magdalera came back to win second doubles 4-6, 6-2, 6-0, and Matthew Hallahan and Calib Byers took third doubles 6-2, 6-3.

Carter Saar (6-1, 6-0) and Tom Dale (6-0, 6-1) were easy winners in second and third singles.

Jackson Wezeman (6-1, 3-6, 6-4) and Kyle Martin (2-6, 6-2, 6-0) dropped close matches in first and fourth singles.

Oak Harbor plays Stanwood (2-0, 3-2) at 3:30 p.m. at home Tuesday, Sept. 23.
