Oak Harbor collects 4 firsts at Mount Vernon / Swim and dive

The Oak Harbor High School swim and dive team won four events in a 102-65 loss at Mount Vernon Tuesday, Oct. 15.

Grace Chargualaf (200-yard freestyle, 2:30.91), Caitlin Dennen (50 free, 29.25) and Frances Empinado (100 backstroke, 1:13.57) all won individual events and teamed with Casey Cabigting to take the 200 medley relay (2:18.63).

Oak Harbor (3-5) completes the regular season with two 3:30 p.m. home meets against 4A schools next week, hosting Cascade (7-5) Tuesday, Oct. 22, and Monroe (5-4) Thursday, Oct. 24.

Fourth: Lorci, 50 free, 34.77; 100 free, 1:19.29; Dominguez, 500 free, 7:28.26; 200 free relay (Sadie Gunter, Christine Magno, Amber Leavitt, Rio Higashijima), 2:58.88.

Fifth: Gunter, 200 free, 3:35.57; Cabigting, 100 fly, 1:27.63; Harada, 100 back, 1:30.74; Magno, 100 breast, 2:11.15.
