Oak Harbor clips Chargers / Tennis

The Oak Harbor High School tennis team won its third consecutive match when it defeated visiting Marysville Getchell 4-3 Wednesday, Sept. 26.

The Wildcats captured three of the four singles matches and third doubles to secure the win.

Oak Harbor (3-2, 5-3), which moved into third place in the seven-team Wesco North after beating the Chargers (0-5, 2-6), goes to second-place Stanwood (4-1, 5-3) at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27.

Oak Harbor results versus Marysville Getchell

Singles: 1, Nick Krantz won 6-3, 6-1; 2, Nathaniel Thompson won 6-2, 6-3; 3, Micah Franklin lost 6-0, 6-2; 4, Ezra Franklin won 6-0, 6-0.

Doubles: 1, Elsian Atienza/Ridgely Briddell lost 6-4, 6-2; 2, Nathan Merrill/Samuel Peek lost 6-4, 6-7(8-6); 13-11; 3, Ethan Snell/Yuji Caballero won 6-3, 6-2.
