The North Whidbey Soccer Club will celebrate the 10th anniversary of its Rock On! 3v3 Soccer Tournament when the annual event returns to Fort Nugent Park May 23 and 24.

The tournament, which has attracted 100 teams in the past, is open to U8 through adult. No coaches are needed, but youth teams should have an adult supervisor.

Any group of players may be combined into a team. Players do not have to come from the same seasonal team, club or organization.

Youth teams play in the oldest player’s age group, adult teams play in the youngest player’s group and co-ed teams play in the boys division.

3v3 soccer consists of two 12-minutes halves with no stoppages; substitutions are made on the fly.

In addition to 3v3 soccer, the tournament will include Goalie Wars. This is a one-on-one competition where opposing players simultaneously defend their own goal while attempting to score.

The fee for the 3v3 tournament is $125 per team. Teams are guaranteed three games, a tournament T-shirt and a goodie bag for each player.

Giveaways, music and an opening ceremony will also be included in the event.

The deadline to register is May 15.
