NW falls to South Hill, finishes 6th at state / 9-11 softball

With a 15-0 loss to Puyallup’s South Hill Little League Monday, July 16, North Whidbey finished in sixth place in the eight-team state 9-11 softball tournament in Shoreline.

The North Whidbey Dragons, coached by Liz Davis, won one of three games in the tournament.

South Hill scored eight runs in the first inning to take control from the beginning.

The Dragons, meanwhile, struggled on offense. Ramona Ryder collected North Whidbey’s only hit. Jaydin Lopez, Katie Cantrell and Ella Bishop all walked.
