Led by five-event winner Sally Dillon, four North Whidbey Masters swimmers won races at the Pacific Northwest Association of Masters Swimmers Championships in Federal Way, April 10 and 11.
Competing in the women’s 60- to-64-year-old division, Dillon raced to first-place finishes in the 50, 100, 200 and 1,000-yard freestyles as well as the 100 breaststroke.
Joining her for multiple trips to the podium was Jim McCleery, who was men’s 60- to-64-year-old champion in the 100, 200, and 1,650 freestyles.
Also winning races for NWM were Todd Nelson in the men’s 40 to 44 200 individual medley and Ron Rhinehart in the men’s 50 to 54 1,000 freestyle.
As a team the foursome accumulated 184 points, finishing in sixth place among the 21 teams competing in the small-team (8 or fewer athletes) division
