The Oak Harbor High School softball team committed only three errors at Arlington Friday, April 11, but the mistakes enabled the Eagles to jump to an early lead and stroll to an 11-0, five-inning win.

A dropped ball on the potential third out in the second inning allowed Arlington (3-0, 6-2), the Wesco 4A North leaders, to go on and score five runs and kick start the nonleague win.

Kelly Findley, Alexa Findley and Kat Martinez each singled for Oak Harbor.

“We cut down our strikeouts from previous games and swung at better pitches,” said coach Todd Showalter.

Oak Harbor (0-3, 1-8) has two 4 p.m. home games this week, meeting Marysville-Pilchuck (2-0, 5-3) Tuesday, April 15, and Mountlake Terrace (0-2, 3-6) Friday, April 18.
