Host Marysville-Pilchuck swept away the Wildcat volleyball team 3-0 Tuesday.
The Tomahawks cruised through a 25-13, 25-9, 25-11 win.
Coach Kerri Molitor said, “We struggled with serve receive, which is usually one of our strengths. Marysville is a good team; they do not make many errors.”
Molitor added, “We were just out of sync. We have been having good practices, but we do not stay strong mentally in the games.”
Kelsey Terrazas-Cooley picked up 17 digs to lead the defense. Oak Harbor once again struggled offensively; no girl recorded more than two kills.
The Tomahawks, 5-0 and 8-3, remained in first place in the Wesco North with the win. Oak Harbor fell to 1-5 and 3-11.
The Wildcats go to Cascade (2-3, 2-8) Monday, and then finish the season at home with Snohomish (3-2, 4-6) on Wednesday.
