Coupeville High School graduate Tyler King wrapped up his collegiate running career by earning honorable mention All-America honors at the NCAA Division I Championship Track Meet in Eugene Wednesday, June 8.
Running for the University of Washington, King placed 23rd in the finals of the 10,000 meters in 32:13.48.
King was third in the Pacific 12 championships in the 10,000, then grabbed ninth at the Western Preliminaries to qualify for the national finals.
Years after his passing, Pete Hulswit’s presence is still being felt.
The golfers wrapped up their regular season with a match against seven Northwest Conference schools.
