Mount Vernon Christian upped its record to 5-1 with a 3-0 win over the visiting Coupeville High School soccer team Saturday, Sept. 22.

The Wolves fell to 1-5-1 after the non-league loss.

“Saturdays do not seem to agree with us,” coach Kyle Nelson said. “We were half a step slow today and ultimately that cost us.”

Coupeville (1-2 in league) plays at South Whidbey (1-1, 3-3) at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25.
