Oak Harbor High School senior Jonalynn Horn signed a letter of intent Thursday, Nov. 13, to run for Idaho State University next year.

Horn, who finished 12th in the state 3A cross country meet last Saturday, will compete in cross country and track at ISU.

Horn narrowed her college choices to the University of Washington and Idaho State, then she choose ISU, she said, because she “felt at home there.”

“The University of Washington is a cool place,” Horn said, “but Idaho State is where I belong.

“I really like the atmosphere and the people on the team.”

Idaho State, she said, also has an “awesome nursing program,” which is her career choice.

“It is a place where I will do well and succeed,” she added.
