Coupeville’s Austin Fields finished second in the District 1 1A qualifying golf tournament in Bellingham this week to qualify for the tri-district tournament.

Fields, who plays for South Whidbey High School because Coupeville does not have a golf team, shot an 82 on the par-72 course.

The district match is slated for the Gold Mountain golf course in Bremerton Tuesday, May 17. The top 32 boys qualify for the state tournament.
