Coupeville High School knew it had one more football game, but the question was “Who, when and where will it be?”

The Wolves found out Wednesday afternoon they will travel to Curtis High School Saturday at 6 p.m. to square off with Life Christian.

Life Christian finished in a four-way tie for third in the Nisqually 1A League. The league held a playoff Tuesday to break the tie to determine the league’s final seed into the state playoffs.

Life Christian (3-4, 4-5) lost to Cedar Park Christian 22-20 and was eliminated. However, the game had an upside for Life Christian; it was trampled by CPC 60-34 earlier in the year.

Also, although the Eagles were bounced from the playoffs, they had a bounce back year after going winless in 2009.

Coupeville and Life Christian have one common opponent, Port Townsend.

The Wolves’ (1-8) only win this fall was 33-6 in the season opener against the Redskins. Life Christian blanked PT 46-0 in a league game Oct. 6.

The Eagles are led by quarterback Kingston Kuehner. His favorite targets are Drew Curry, Kameron Hutchens and Riley Roetcisoender.

Dylan Huber leads the ground game.

Curtis High School is in University Place, southwest of Tacoma.
