Flyers compete at national championships

Three members of the Island Flyers competed in the Trampoline and Tumbling National Championships in Long Beach, Calif., last week.

Among the 2,000 athletes who competed, Hailee Blau had the highest finish for the Flyers by taking 14th on level 6 trampoline. She also placed 30th in level 5 tumbling and 36th in level 7 double mini.

Lauren Bayne had her best finish in level 5 tumbling with 29th place. She was also 34th in level 6 trampoline.

Kelly Gruenwald was 25th in level 5 double mini.
