Michael Fisken’s 10th-place finish was the top performance by an Oak Harbor High School athlete at the state 3A track meet Thursday through Saturday, May 23-25, at Tacoma’s Mount Tahoma High School.
Fisken threw the discus 137-02 to place 10th in the event won by Southridge’s Alax Grimes at 158-10.
Juan Luna-Elliott finished 13th in the boys high jump with a leap of 5-08. Seth Tower of Central Kitsap went 6-06 to win the title.
Oak Harbor’s Natalie French placed 13th in the girls 800 meters in 2:25.52. Kate Jenrezak of Eastside Catholic finished first in 2:11.72.
French ran with Courtney VanGiesen, Brenna Rothman and Morgan Pease to place 16th in the girls 4×400 at 4:21.36. Eastside Catholic won the title in 3:55.03.
