First-place Granite Falls rolled by the Coupeville fastpitch team 13-0 in five innings Friday, April 16, on the Tigers’ field.

Granite Falls scored nine runs off seven hits, one error, two walks and a hit batter in the second inning to take control of the game.

In all, the Tigers (9-0, 10-0) rapped 12 hits in just four innings.

The Wolves managed just two singles by Megan Smith and Taylor Lawson against freshman pitcher Alicia Amundson.

Coach Denny Zylstra said Lawson “hit the ball well” and “it is good to have her back.” It was Lawson’s first game back after missing the past few weeks.

Coupeville (0-7, 1-7) entertains Sultan (2-6, 2-7) today, April 19, at 4 p.m.
