Eagles top Coupeville / Soccer

Cedar Park Christian scored two second-half goals to pull away from the visiting Coupeville High School soccer team in the Eagles’ 3-1 win Tuesday, Sept. 18.

Genna Wright scored for the Wolves to help Coupeville enter the break with a 1-1 tie with CPC (2-1, 5-2).

“We just we not able to convert on a number of chances in the second half,” coach Kyle Nelson said. “(It) should be a good game when we host them later in the season.”

Coupeville (1-2, 1-4-1) plays a non-league match at Mount Vernon Christian (4-0) at noon Saturday, Sept. 22, before going to South Whidbey (1-1, 3-2) for a conference contest a 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25.
