For the second match in a row, the Oak Harbor High School tennis team swept all three doubles matches on the way to a 4-3 win, this time at Everett Friday, March 23.

For the second match in a row, the Oak Harbor High School tennis team swept all three doubles matches on the way to a 4-3 win, this time at Everett Friday, March 23.

All seven matches were in straight sets.

The doubles wins came from first doubles Chelsea Admire and Jamie Estrella 6-3, 7-6(2); second doubles Zena Husler and Alyssa Eden 6-3, 6-4; and McKinley Kellogg and Dallas Breilein 6-2, 6-4.

And like the previous match, the Wildcats picked up their fourth point in fourth singles, this time Brittany Rigby earned the 6-3, 6-0 win.

Oak Harbor dropped the first three singles matches. In first, Chelsea Atkinson lost 6-0, 6-0; in second, McKenzie Perry fell 6-2, 6-2; and in third, Faith Franssen lost 6-2, 6-3.

Everett’s record fell to 1-4. The win lifted Oak Harbor to 2-0 in league (2-2 overall) and into first place in the Wesco 3A North.

Oak Harbor (2-2) entertains unbeaten Stanwood (1-0, 3-0) at 3:30 p.m. Monday, March 25.
