Three consecutive wins in the consolation bracket by the North Whidbey Little League Dodgers earned the local club a spot in the semifinals of the Andrade Tournament at Windjammer Park.
The Dodgers play at 6 p.m. Friday, June 7, for a right to play for the championship Saturday at 10 a.m.
The Dodgers scored in double figures to defeat the Central Whidbey Cardinals 11-3 Wednesday and the South Whidbey Cubs 14-10 Thursday.
Austin Boesch paced the Dodgers Wednesday, ripping four hits, including a triple and a run batted in. Caleb Fitzgerald added two hits, one a double, and three RBI. Donny Kloewer finished with a triple, single and RBI.
In Thursday’s game, Cameron Aguirre collected two doubles, a single and three RBI; Boesch had a triple and single and three RBI; Kloewer pushed home four runs on a pair of singles; and Kaleb Vaughen slugged two doubles.
