For the second match in a row, the only win for the Oak Harbor High School tennis team came in fourth singles as the Wildcats fell 6-1 to visiting Stanwood Monday, Oct. 7.

Jackson Wezeman won 6-3, 6-2 to earn the Wildcats’ only team point against the first-place Spartans (6-3, 8-4).

Oak Harbor dropped two close matches. Casiano Atienza lost 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 in second singles; and Tom Dale and Jacob Nelson were beaten 6-4, 6-7(4), 6-2 in second doubles.

Oak Harbor (3-6, 4-8) goes to Everett (3-5, 4-7) to meet the Seagulls at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9.

Singles: 1, Harrison Miller lost 6-4, 6-0; 2, Carter Saar lost 6-4, 6-2.

Doubles: 1, Jose Dimaculangan/Jozef Mendoza lost 6-3, 6-3; 3, Kyle Martin/Isaac Deleon lost 6-4, 6-2.
