Little League all-star action begins this week for North and Central Whidbey baseball and softball teams.

The Central Whidbey 11/12 softball team started things off Wednesday at Oak Harbor’s Volunteer Park. The tournament concludes with the championship series beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 29, and, if necessary, with a game at 1 p.m. Sunday.

The 9/10 baseball tournament begins at noon Saturday, June 29, at South Whidbey when North Whidbey takes on Burlington. Central Whidbey faces the winner at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 30.

The 10/11 and 11/12 baseball playoffs begin Monday, July 1. The North Whidbey 10/11 team plays Sedro-Woolley at 6 p.m. at Oak Harbor’s Windjammer Park. The 11/12 tournament takes place in Sedro-Woolley, and Central Whidbey meets South Skagit at 6 p.m. North Whidbey’s first game is at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 2.

Junior (13/14) baseball and 9/10 softball start Friday, July 5. The North Whidbey Junior baseball team challenges Sedro-Woolley at 6 p.m. at Oak Harbor’s Fort Nugent Park. The North Whidbey softball team squares off with South Skagit at 6 p.m. at Volunteer Park.
