Coupeville’s Jai’Lysa Hoskins and Nick Streubel both placed in the opening day of the Cascade Conference track meet at Cedarcrest Wednesday, May 9.
Hoskins nabbed fifth in the high jump (4-06) and Streubel sixth in the discus (116-11).
Four events held finals as most of the day was committed to preliminaries for Friday’s (3:30 p.m.) second portion of the meet.
For the boys, Sam Landau finished 23rd in the 1,600 (5:19.24), Caleb Valko 15th in the discus (93-10) and Stephen Edwards 15th in the long jump (16-03.5).
For the girls, Megan Oakes ran 21st in the 1,600 (7:06.29) and Grace LaPoint placed 13th in the discus (76-07).
