Friday Harbor collected just six hits off Coupeville High School softball pitchers in Tuesday’s non-league game, but 17 walks were a big factor in the Wolverines’ 13-3 victory.
Friday Harbor scored five times in the top of the first inning and added another run in the top of the second for a 6-0 lead before the Wolf Pack’s bats got going.
Coupeville scored three runs in the bottom of the second inning to cut the lead in half, but those were the only runs the Wolves would score in the game.
Friday Harbor added four runs in the top of the third, two in the fourth and one in the fifth, and the game was called after five innings of play on the 10-run rule.
