Bruins defeat Wildcats / Swim and dive

The Cascade High School swim team, coached by Oak Harbor graduate Eric Smith, defeated the Wildcats 112-66 at John Vanderzicht Pool Tuesday, Oct. 22.

Oak Harbor (3-6) finishes the varsity regular season with a home meet against Monroe (5-6) at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24.

The Wildcats collected four first places in the loss to the Bruins: Frances Empinado (200-meter individual medley, 3:07.3), Caitlin Dennen (100 backstroke, 1:20.13), Diandra Dominguez (100 breaststroke, 1:40.06) and the 200 medley relay team of Empinado, Dennen, Dominguez and Grace Chargualaf (2:31.98).
