Big inning helps Everett top ‘Cats / Baseball

One bad inning did in the Oak Harbor High School baseball team in its 9-1 loss to Everett at Shorecrest High School Friday, March 16.

The Seagulls (1-0, 1-1) scored eight runs, four unearned, in the third inning to secure the win.

Meanwhile, Oak Harbor (0-1, 0-2) struggled on offense, mustering only three hits, leaving the bases loaded twice and hitting into two double plays.

Aaron Martinez, Donnie Kloewer and Joe Dixon collected the Wildcats’ hits.

Austin Boesch took the pitching loss.

The two teams meet again in Oak Harbor at 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 20.
