Bearcats nip Wildcats 5-3

At Marshall Field in Monore Tuesday afternoon, the Bearcats put up three runs in the bottom of the first inning to erase a 1-0 lead, and went on to defeat the Oak Harbor High School baseball team 5-3 in a WesCo North game.

The loss dropped the Wildcats’ season record to 2-8 in league games and 4-9 overall.

Monroe scored its fourth run in the bottom of the second inning, but Oak Harbor cut the lead in half with a run in the top of the third.

Sam Wolfe was 2-for-4, including a solo home run, with two runs scored for Oak Harbor.
