Bear Creek nips Coupeville / Tennis

The Coupeville high school tennis team suffered another close loss, dropping a 3-2 decision to visiting Bear Creek Wednesday, Oct. 9.

The match was Coupeville’s fourth lose by one point this season.

The Wolves’ Drake Borden won in first singles 6-2, 6-0, while James Wood and Zach Ginnings teamed up for a 6-2, 6-1 win in first doubles.

Mason Grove dropped the second singles match 6-2, 6-2, Andrew Aparicio and Thane Peterson lost in second doubles 6-1, 6-1 and Miles Davidson and Logan Martin fell in third doubles 6-1, 6-3.

Coupeville (1-10) hosts Friday Harbor in a non-league match at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10.
