The Sox scored nine runs in the second inning of the first game to win 15-5, then tallied six in the second inning of the nightcap on the way to an 11-3 victory.

Oak Harbor (4-8, 7-11) now heads to West Linn, Ore., for a tournament over the July 4 weekend.

The Wildcats got off to a good start in the first game with Burlington, jumping to a 5-1 lead heading into the bottom of the second. The Sox then took off as the first seven batters reached base and eventually scored.

Oak Harbor scored in the top of the first on singles by Dylan Bailey and Tyler Snavely and a double by Robert Herring.

The Wildcats added four runs in the second with the help of base hits by Cory Roberts, Steven Richards, Bailey, Taylor Consford, Snavely, and Trent Benson..

Oak Harbor would get only one more hit in the game, a fifth-inning single by Avery Aguirre.

The Wildcats also scored first in the second game, tallying twice in the first inning. Bailey and Snavely walked in front of an Aguirre double.

Burlington tied the game in the bottom half of the first and then went up 8-2 with the big second inning.

Oak Harbor’s only other run came in the fifth inning on singles by Consford and Bailey.
