20 prep athletes earn all-league honors

Oak Harbor swimmer senior Caley Powers led the postseason honors, earning first team status in four events: 50 free style, 100 butterfly, 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay.

He was joined on the relays by senior Cedric Cabigting, junior Dakota Powers and sophomore Micah Geist. Cabigting (100 backstroke) and Geist (200 individual medley) also picked up first-team honors in individual events.

Coupeville’s lone first-team selection was sophomore Makana Stone in girls basketball.

Oak Harbor dominated the Wesco North wrestling first team: junior Christian Bertram (113 pounds), junior Jeremy Vester (132), senior Jahleel Vester (138), junior Mark Johnston (152), senior Ray Quinday (220) and junior Jackson Constant (285). Sophomore Amber Cramsey-Behnke (235) was a first-team choice among the girls.

In Western Conference basketball, both divisions were combined to form the all-league teams and senior Drew Washington earned second-team honors. Senior Zach Gibbs and sophomore Dyllan Harris were honorable mention selections, as was senior Joanna Leete on the girls team.

For Coupeville, Bree Messner and Amanda Fabrizi received honorable mention in girls basketball and Anthony Bergeron and Nick Streubel among the boys.
