1st-place Seattle Academy stops Wolves 4-1 / Tennis

The Seattle Academy remained unbeaten in tennis with a 4-1 win at Coupeville High School Monday, Oct. 15.

The loss evened the Wolves’ league record to 6-6; Coupeville is 7-6 overall.

The Wolves picked up their team point in third doubles where Tiger Johnson and Jaschon Baumann won 2-6, 6-4, 10-8.

Coupeville finishes the regular season at home with Eastside Prep at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17.

The bi-district tournament is set for Friday, Oct. 19, at the Amy Yee Tennis Center in Seattle.

Singles: Jakobi Baumann lost 6-2, 6-0; 2, Drake Borden lost 6-2, 6-3.

Doubles: Mason Grove/James Wood lost 6-2, 6-0; 2, Zach Ginnings/Jacob Burke lost 6-2, 6-0; 3, Tiger Johnson/Jaschon Baumann won 2-6, 6-4, 10-8.
