The Coupeville High School volleyball team played a solid match, but King's continued it unbeaten season with a 3-0 win over the Wolves in Shoreline Thursday, Oct. 3.

The Coupeville High School volleyball team played a solid match, but King’s continued it unbeaten season with a 3-0 win over the Wolves in Shoreline Thursday, Oct. 3.

Coach Kirsty Croghan said, “Though the scores and stats may not show it, the girls did good tonight. They are working hard at practice to fine tune our offense and defense, and it is starting to click on the court for us.”

The Knights (7-0) won 25-17, 25-11, 25-13.

Madeline Strasburg recorded three kills, added two aces on 7-for-8 serving and was 7-for-7 in serve receive.

Kacie Kiel had three kills and Hailey Hammer two off of 10 assists by Sydney Autio.

Bree Messner was 7-for-7 in serves with two aces and 8-for-11 on defensive chances.

Haley Sherman was 8-for-10 and Amanda Fabrizi 11-for-15 in serve receive.

Coupeville (0-7, 1-7) finishes a string of four road matches at Cedarcrest (3-4, 3-4) at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8.
