As the center of population in the 10th District, Oak Harbor deserves its own representative in Olympia. There is no one who better fits that description than incumbent Position 2 Representative Barbara Bailey.

A conservative Republican who faithfully votes the party line, Bailey is part of the mix the district needs in Olympia. Her party is in the minority in the House, but she has the experience needed to work effectively with both sides and she has shown she can can get things done in her own way. She managed to stop many so-called “emergency” additions to bills simply by embarrassing her fellow legislators by pointing out the nonsense of it. She’s always fighting to limit spending and looking for affordable ways to improve health care and support the needs of military veterans. Facing a huge budget deficit, the Legislature will be tempted to raise taxes during the next session beginning in January. Bailey can be counted on to speak up for the taxpayer during tough economic times. She deserves a fourth term in Olympia.
