William MacMillan

On Sunday, August 4, 2013, William Robert MacMillan (Billy), died peacefully in his sleep. He was three days shy of his 25th birthday.

Billy was born in Alamogordo, N.M. on Aug. 7, 1988, and travelled throughout the country in his early years before his family moved to Oak Harbor in 2000.

Billy was a 2006 graduate of Oak Harbor High School and attended Skagit Valley College. He worked in internet sales at Eagle Tree Systems in Oak Harbor since graduating from high school.

Billy was first and foremost a loving and caring person who was always there for his family and his many friends.

He had an amazing wit; was a passionate outdoorsman who loved hiking and camping; was an avid poker player, skateboarder, mountain biker, sometime stand-up comedian and musician who wrote beautiful electronic music.

Billy is survived by his grandfather Joseph MacMillan, his parents William and Gail MacMillan, by his brother Brad Kienitz and sister-in-law Rose Kienitz, his nieces Waverly and Sedonia and nephew Baron, all of Oak Harbor, and by his brother Eric MacMillan, his sister Dayna MacMilllan and brother-in-law Matt Badger, of Seattle.

A memorial service was held at Burley Funeral home in Oak Harbor on Aug. 9.
